HORSEBACK RIDING IN YERBA LOCA SANCTUARY

DESCRIPTION

We will leave in the morning from Santiago in the direction of the ski centers of the sector of Farellones. The road is paved and there are 22km and 15 curves until the entrance of the Nature Sanctuary of Yerba Loca. In the entrance we will register and continue our way to the Corrales sector (6.233 ft) where Javier, our muleteer and his horses will be waiting for us to start our ride. Javier will assign a horse to each person and when we are ready we will start our 1.5 hour ride through the pre-cordillera until we reach the German Refuge (7.874 ft). Shelter currently abandoned, was built in 1937 by the Andean German Club. In this place we will enjoy the view of La Paloma glacier, Cerro Altar and other mountain panoramic. We will enjoy a Box Lunch Outdoor included in the tour and after 1 hour of rest and relax we will start our return to the starting point along a different path, we will pass through an archaeological site preserved by the Sanctuary. At the starting point we will share an Outdoor Table with fruits and beverages. To finish we will start our return by car to Santiago.
