Great winter experience of a week of ski touring in the snowy volcanoes of Chile. The program includes 4 recognized volcanoes: Lonquimay, Llaima, Villarrica and Osorno, along with the highest quality and professionalism of our guides, transportation, accommodation and food, in 3 locations: Malalcahuello, Pucón and Puerto Varas where you will enjoy nature in depth and local culture of southern Chile.

This program is perfect for those who want to gain experience in ski mountaineering, challenging the climb and then ski the best slopes and know the most beautiful corners around active volcanoes, hot springs and ancient araucaria.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Meeting point at Temuco airport. Transfer of 2 hours to Lodge in Malalcahuello where will be your base for the next 3 nights. Team check-up, instructions, welcome dinner and rest.

DAY 2: VOLCAN LONQUIMAY (2,865 m)

Breakfast 7am, transfer from 1 hour to Lonquimay volcano base, start from 4-5 hours until the summit-crater (ski lift optional ski center) and then descend 1.5 hours to the base. In the afternoon we finish with cold beer, dinner in Malalcahuello village and rest in lodge.

DAY 3: VOLCAN LLAIMA (3.125 m)

Breakfast 7am, transfer of 1 hour to the base of the Llaima volcano. Start of 4-5 hours to the summit (optional ski center ski lift). Descent of 2 hours to the base. Hot springs in the afternoon (optional), dinner and rest in the lodge.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO PUCÓN

Breakfast 8am, check-out lodge, transfer of 3 hours through a beautiful scenery to Pucón. Check-in hotel, lunch in restaurant and hot springs in the afternoon (optional). Dinner and rest in hotel.

DAY 5: VILLARRICA VOLCANO (2,847 m)

Breakfast 7am, transfer of 20 minutes to the base Villarrica volcano, 4-5 hours to the summit-crater (ski lift optional ski center), 1.5 hours descent to the base. Dinner, cold beer and rest.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO PUERTO VARAS

Breakfast 8am, check-out hotel, transfer of 4 hours to Puerto Varas. Check-in hotel, lunch in restaurant, free afternoon. Dinner and rest.

DAY 7: VOLCANO OSORNO (2,652 m)

Breakfast 6am, transfer of 1 hour to refuge base volcano. 4-5 hours to the summit (optional ski center ski lift). Usually it is climbed in ski until before the steepest slope, then it is necessary to use rope, crampon and ice ax to reach the top. Descent of 2-3 hours to the base. Dinner and farewell party.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT

Breakfast 8am, check-out and transfer to the airport.
