TREKKING CERRO PINTOR    /    2 DAYS

DESCRIPTION

Cerro Pintor is a mountain in the central Andes that lies east of Santiago. It forms a mountainous cordon next to Cerro El Plomo, Cerro Leonera, Cerro Altar and Cerro Littoria.​
The trip to the Andes Mountain Range is always an adventure, an unparalleled trip and more so if you live the experience of sleeping there, where the scenery and the encounter with the mountain is breathtaking, a unique landscape. The lagoon of Piuquenes, walk along the edge of the mountain at the foot of our destination, where we see the colors that give rise to the name of this beautiful attraction. Once in the summit of Cerro Pintor, the view that we will have of the Andes is incomparable.

We offer you the alternative of reaching the summit of Mount Pintor with the possibility of spending the night in the sector of the lagoon Piuquenes at 3,600 m.

 

DAY 1: The first day we will walk 3 hours to the Piquenes lagoon, in this place we will set up camp and we will make a small trekking to the viewpoints and surroundings of the place, with the possibility to see mountain animals (foxes) and birds of mountain like Condors. Then we will share a dinner under the stars and relax with the silence of the mountains.

 

DAY 2: We will get up and take breakfast, then we will continue our trek, we will pass near Cerro Falsa Parva and Parva, then after 3 to 4 hours reach the summit of Cerro Pintor 4.180 m. At the summit we will have time to rest, take pictures of you with a unique background scene. Then we will continue our return to the starting point of our expedition.

PICK UP TIME: 10:00 hs.

ARRIVAL TIME SECOND DAY: 19:00 pm aprox.

TRANSFER TIME: 60 minutes.

DURATION OF THE TREKKING ROUND TRIP: 10 - 11 hours.

INITIAL ALTITUD: 3.100 meters - 10.170 feet.

HEIGHT OF THE PLACE OF STAY: 3.600 meters.

FINAL ALTITUD: 4.180 meters - 13.713 feet.
